Five Key Building Blocks
This curriculum includes units on Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary and Comprehension. Modules are supplemented by a series of expert webinars presented by our Science of Reading Center of Excellence.
45 Hours of Time on Task
The Science of Reading Fundamentals microcredential is a 45-hour, curriculum-agnostic online course focused on the building blocks of evidence-based literacy education and is designed to be a valuable complement to any P-12 literacy program. Participants will gain familiarity with innovative, validated tools, concepts, and practices, grounded in the latest research about how children learn to read. This course is comprised of five fully online, asynchronous modules. Each module focuses on a specific topic related to the five pillars of effective reading instruction.
